2. Treasury Analyst (TA)

The Treasury Analyst (TA) program provides hands-on experience in the accounting and financial operations of SAI. The analyst will be involved in financial reporting, variance analysis, financial analysis, budgeting and other treasury operations that have significant impact on the profitability of the organization.
The standard work commitment is approximately 15hrs/week in the office during the school year and 40hrs/week in the summer.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Support the CFO in creating a monthly flash report, business-by-business variance analysis and variance analysis memo.
- Understand and help support discipline of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Be trained by the CFO on the budget preparation process at SAI and achieve a sufficient understanding of the process and our procedures to take the lead role in the preparation of the following year’s budget.
- Assist the CFO in reviewing and developing internal policies for treasury related operations.
- Develop financial alalysis to improve agencies' and SAI's operations.
- Prepare presentation slides for Board of Director (BOD) meetings.
- Assist the CFO to achieve BOD Audit Committee goals.
- Gain a broad understanding of all internal accounting procedures.
- Minimum required coursework: Financial accounting. Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working with numbers.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as in teams.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Absolute Integrity.
Recruiting starts now and extends into April. Training will take place in April and May, while the summer internship will commence in May and end in August.
This position is competitively compensated.
