Managers

SAI’s six business divisions are run directly by undergraduate student managers that report to the President. While no business or financial experience is necessary to be a manager, SAI looks for motivated, self-starting students with an interest in personal growth and development to fill its management positions.

Students of all class years are encouraged to apply. Managers are hired annually in September, which begins a two month training program. At the conclusion of training, managers serve for twelve months, with profit/loss responsibility for their businesses from January 1-December 31. In some cases, and depending on the business, arrangements can be made so that managers can take a two-month leave to participate in a summer internship.

Manager compensation includes a weekly draw, performance-based bonuses, and profit sharing, and can be between $10,000-18,000 depending on the business. Time commitment for managers is approximately 15-20 hours/week during the academic year and 40 hours/week during the summer.
